Dragon – Chapter 3

Looming above,

Lacking in love,

Misty and thick,

Poisonous and sick,

Jagged boulders litter the ground,

Lost items of  perished souls can be found,

The mountains tower so high,

Staring down at them, sneering,

Looking and leering.

‘No one survives the rise of rock’,

‘The climb will need every ounce of luck’,

The noble men gripped their sword,

And stared fearlessly at their massive foe.

The first man held the stone,

covered in ivy, overgrown,

‘Let us do this for our kingdom, lads’

‘The deadly dragons dare not pass’

A chant in unison could be heard

‘Spread the word, it must be heard’

‘The dragon hunters must be feared’
